Maples Teesdale, specialist corporate real estate firm, has promoted a new partner effective 1 April 2023.

Commercial real estate specialist Charles Elgood has been promoted to Partner in the commercial real estate team. Charles joined Maples Teesdale as Of Counsel in 2015 after training at Simmons & Simmons followed by a career at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Travers Smith and Brecher.

Charles has extensive experience working on acquisitions and disposals, including forward purchase and forward funding deals.  He is also involved in day to day asset management work for retail centres and industrial parks.
