Flex is best

Even with the continued hybrid working environment, it’s great to hear at the Future of the Workplace Conference that for most occupiers having an office is an important part of their business DNA. The consensus of the conference was that flexibility remains a key factor in the “return to the office” debate and the traditional office setting is no longer fit for purpose. The “office” is not dead, it just needs to be reimagined. Occupiers are looking for a multifaceted destination where employees can come together to connect and collaborate. Landlords and developers need to be forward thinking, creating spaces that can be flexible and reflect a wide variety of circumstances and that are able to adapt to the ever-evolving world around us. Whilst the office sector still faces many challenges the continued collaboration and conversations between landlords and occupiers gives us cause for optimism about the future of the office.
