It is great to see that optimism has risen among Britain's hospitality leaders for the third consecutive quarter and even better that the optimism continues to grow in a challenging economic climate for operators. Inflation, energy prices and interest rates are all proving tricky obstacles for operators to overcome but it appears that the industry is coping well with only 11% of leaders believing that their business remains at risk of failing. With the rate of inflation hopefully beginning to slow, energy prices coming down, and interest rates perhaps not rising as quickly in future months, I am optimistic that pressure will begin to ease on costs and in turn lead to future sustained growth for operators.
