Raising money for Stonewall
In honour of Pride, Maples Teesdale baked rainbow coloured cakes to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, and join the marching at the Pride parade, taking place in London on Saturday 6th July 2019.
Pride Month celebrates love, peace and acceptance. However, the history of the parade comes from less celebratory roots, tied with political activism and protests demanding equal rights. Since then it has ignited the beginning of the Civil Rights Movement, and snowballed into a much larger movement for the entire LGBT community.
Maples Teesdale are proud to support Pride Month and stand against discrimination and violence toward the LGBT community. All donations from cake sale went to help support Stonewall.
