The end of an era following the sale of Shaka Zulu…?

Or a fresh beginning for the venue with Junkyard Golf Club, who have acquired the venue in Camden?

For some, times have changed from simply going to the pub or a restaurant and many people expect something more entertaining. Whether it is escape rooms, interactive football, ping pong, darts, golf or axe throwing (not sure how I feel about this last one), competitive socialising has become common place. It is therefore no wonder that Mancunian Junkyard Golf Club is opening its seventh and biggest site yet at Shaka Zulu’s old site. Immersive golf, food and drink is likely to prove popular in Camden, offering an experience to the “100,000 visitors that Camden attracts each weekend”, comments Junkyard Golf Club’s managing director, Sam Jones.

Refurbishing the space is set to cost Junkyard Golf a £2m investment. I am curious to see how repurposing this iconic venue will look!

The company is also expanding internationally, planning to open its first site abroad in the US.

"Camden will be home to our largest venue, where we can offer our immersive, crazy golf experience to the 100,000 visitors that Camden attracts each weekend"
