News of effective COVID vaccines was greeted with joy and relief, and the immunisation roll-out is gathering steam. However, we have quickly moved from that euphoria into a new phase, of arguments about the vaccine: groups like front-line police and teachers are clamouring to be prioritised; the EU is demanding that AstraZeneca fulfil its contractual obligations as to supply; and this article points out that employers (including prospective employers) who ask the apparently innocuous question "Have you had your jab?" could be opening themselves up to significant legal risks. Whilst written from the perspective of the property industry, there are obvious wider implications for all employers.
