It is looking increasingly likely that Hammersmith and Fulham Council are going to intervene in order to kick-start the regeneration of Earl's Court. Their relationship with one-time bedfellow CapCo ended some time ago and they are now looking to buy out their interest. While confident of its ability to acquire the land, the Council will be looking for a new private sector partner in the future to bring the construction and development skills needed for a project of this scale. Whatever proceeds on the site is going to be ambitious and exciting, and let's hope this time it manages to deliver regeneration and affordable homes.
