I have so many childhood memories of the thrill of shopping at Toys R Us during the 80's and 90's, it was so exciting and unlike anything I had ever seen before. It's such a shame that administrators have now been appointed. Whilst it might have been that tax bill that finally toppled Toys R Us UK over the edge, this seems to me to be a classic tale of failing to move with the times. Toys R Us' offering was not sufficiently different to draw in consumers, offering neither discounts, nor great customer experience.
