EG took a tour inside the two mammoth projects, Battersea Power Station and the US Embassy, the cornerstones of the regeneration of Nine Elms in London. At Battersea, whose phase one is now complete, up to 2,000 construction workers toil inside the roofless riverside icon each day. Four huge cores are being built to support the new floors and atrium, which from 2020 will house the 500,000 sq ft Apple HQ .
